Defender, 5’7” La Jolla Country Day School Class of 2028

My name is Skylar Socol and I am a versatile defender with center back as my primary position. I’m known for my dominance in the air, speed, and playing composed possession-based defense. Some other key attributes I bring to my team include accurate distribution across all distances, advancing with speed, and defending in 1v1 situations by anticipating my opponents and executing well-timed tackles.

I am a sophomore at La Jolla Country Day School (3.9 GPA) and balance challenging academics with two varsity sports. My freshman year, I was named captain and MVP of the women’s soccer team and was the second leading scorer in the Coastal League. I enjoyed developing my attacking skills and stood out for beating double teams, creating scoring opportunities and finishing consistently with both feet. I also ran for the track and field team and consistently finished among the league leaders in the 100m, 400m, 4x100m and 4x400m.

I support my athletic training with time at 1RM Performance working on my strength and speed. Some of my PRs include: 10-meter sprint : 1.64 seconds;  broad jump: 8’5”; squat: 205 lbs; and box jump: 42”.

I love spending time with friends, attending school sporting events and Padres games. I also volunteer regularly throughout San Diego and serve as president of my National Charity League class.
